January Roundup

Well, end of the first month of training.... so how have I done against my KPIs?

Weight loss: 6lbs
Fat loss: 2.7%
Mileage: 293 (avg. 66 per week)
Training time: 22hrs ( avg. 5 per week)
Avg heart rate :132

Total height : 16,700 feet (5000m)
20k TT average wattage: 124
Power/Weight ratio : 1.05 watts/lb (up 10%)

Very pleased with weight loss this month, mainly due, I have to reluctantly admit, to the complete lack of alcohol. Some good rides but only at weekends - so in February try and do at least one mid week session and bring mileage up to 100 per week.



The mad measurements from the Tantia scales are useful too, don't want to loose too much muscle mass, so worth keeping an eye on.

Plus our first Cyclosportive, great experience though much harder than any of us thought and although only 65 miles compared to the 120 of the Canterbury sportive last year, much more difficult due to the hills.

Need to uncover a little cyclesportive for Feb but entries open for Chiltern 100 on Monday, so will be entering that. Off to Marrakesh with Ros in a couple of weeks so with a week of no cycling will have to do much more in the other three weeks.
