MONDAY 28th January - 23 weeks to go

Miles last week : 67(67 road,0 indoor)
Weight : 15st 3.6lbs (-3.0 lbs)
Body fat : 26.6% (-1.0%)
Tantia body type 2 (obese)

Good week for weight, but a lot of it due to the big ride on Sunday, so interesting to see whether it stays off this week.

Only one ride this week, must try and get sessions in during the week as this will not do - however, it was The Hell of Ashdown cyclosportive - 67 very hilly miles. Rupert and Paul accompanied me (see photo) and we had rather underestimated the time it would take us. However, great day out, sunny and beautiful countryside. My Garmin said it was a total of 1600m of climbing over five hills, so not quite a Tourmalet but getting there.. the good news is that I felt the 7% two mile hills were OK albeit in my granny ring and going slowly - however had to stop twice on Hell of Ashdown Hill, very steep and long, and once on the final two mile hill to the finish. But, all in all, not a bad day considering its only January.

Statistics for the ride:

HR : avg 137; max 167
Speed : avg 15mph (if I ignore last 2 miles!); max 42.6mph!!
